I am not currently accepting any new clients. I will be on maternity leave from January 2025 - March 2025, returning in April 2025.

I’m Elise

I work with couples in Greenville, SC to create clarity and ease in their relationships and lives. Creating a safe therapeutic space for my clients is my top priority. I help couples to strengthen their connection, improve communication, and deepen their intimacy.

Couples Work

You might be feeling exhausted from trying again and again to improve your relationship. Maybe you feel as if you and your partner have the same arguments … same conversations over and over again. You might feel like you are burning out. The fun and enjoyable moments may be tainted by the painful ones. You are craving a relationship that feels good. Emotionally Focused Therapy is an evidence based treatment model that truly changes interactions at the core level. This trusted process helps people get out of their heads and into their emotions which results in a deeper level of connection that solidifies the bond you have to one another.

Therapy provides the experience of an unbiased third party professional to help navigate conversations and guide your relationship into a different way of being. Therapy is collaborative - everyone in the room is equally important and valued.

Trauma Work

I I utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy with individual clients to process traumatic or negative experiences and “rewrite” their stories. This model works well for anything from processing a break up to working though significant childhood trauma. I really prioritize safety in trauma work. Working through trauma and negative experiences can feel scary and uncomfortable - my clients are repeatedly reminded that they are in control of the session. Safety is the most important thing in doing this brave work. Common remarks from clients on the other side of trauma work are : “I feel relief.. peace, and a healing.”

One of my areas of focus is working with physicians and medical professionals to process work induced trauma. This is often vicarious trauma (being exposed to trauma via a patient’s experience), compassion fatigue, or coping with a difficult outcome from a case. Because this model is very brief, it gets right to the issue and works well for individuals with demanding schedules.

I work to create a protected space for all people, including those who hold identities that differ from mine. While I identify as a white, cisgender, heteronormative female - I realize that a good portion of the clients-to-be who visit this website are not. If you identify as a person of color, LGBTQIA+, or are differently-abled than I am - I want you to know I recognize my own privileges and biases, and I am committed to a lifetime of education and growth.
